It has been 12 years since we opened our zori sandal shop in Tokyo in 2014.
Our store is located in a charming area rich in Edo culture, close to the Edo-Tokyo Open Air Architectural Museum, the Sumida Hokusai Museum, and the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena.
Over the years, under the name MERIKOTI, we have been fortunate to share our products — MERI and TUTUMU — and to hold workshops with the support of so many wonderful customers.
This year marks our 12th anniversary, and with it, an important change.
We will be relocating our shop just three doors down from the current location.
To express our gratitude, we will be holding a relocation sale from January 28 until the closing of the current MERIKOTI store.
Selected MERI items, normally priced at ¥13,200 (tax included), will be available for ¥6,600.
Items made by apprentices in training, as well as sample products used for photography, will be offered at ¥4,400.
In addition, we will have socks, warmers, embroidered accessories, and many other items available at special prices.
If you are visiting the Sumida Hokusai Museum, attending a sumo match, or exploring Asakusa and the eastern side of Tokyo, we would love for you to stop by.

The store is scheduled to close in mid-February.
Until then, many items will be available at special prices, so please take this opportunity to visit us. You may find something special waiting for you.
For those who have never tried MERI before, or those who have been curious but hesitant, this is a perfect chance to experience the comfort of MERI for yourself.
After MERIKOTI closes, we will reopen in early March at a new location closer to the Edo-Tokyo Museum.
At that time, the shop name will change to “MERI,” the name of our brand.
With this change, we hope to express our commitment to MERI more clearly and to create a place where customers can truly feel the quality and philosophy behind our products.
We aim to create a shop where customers feel satisfied not only with the comfort of our products, but also with the craftsmanship and the time spent choosing them.
From those who live nearby to those joining us from the other side of the world, we will continue to offer the same care and hospitality to everyone.
