Large Size Japanese Zori Slippers | MERI Now Offers Sizes Up to 30 cm

One of the questions we receive most often from international visitors is:

"Do you have larger sizes?"

The answer is yes!

MERI now offers four sizes of our handmade Japanese Zori slippers, making it easier for more people around the world to enjoy their comfort.

Our Available Sizes

Choosing the Right Size

Traditional Japanese zori were often worn slightly shorter than the foot, and this style was once considered elegant.

However, indoor slippers are different.

If your slippers are too small, you'll feel the floor beneath your feet and won't enjoy the full comfort of MERI.

We recommend choosing a size that fully supports your entire foot.

At the same time, we don't recommend choosing a pair that is too large.

Each pair of MERI is about 2 cm (0.8 in.) thick when new.

As you wear them, the knitted sole gradually compresses under your body weight, becoming slightly thinner and naturally molding to the shape of your feet.

Because of this, the slippers may feel a little roomier over time.

Introducing Our New 3L Size

Until recently, our three standard sizes comfortably fit most of our customers.

As more visitors from overseas discovered MERI, we began receiving requests for larger sizes.

That's why we created our largest size yet:

3L (29㎝~30 cm / US Men's 12~14 / EU 45~47).

Handmade, One Pair at a Time

Creating a pair this large is an incredible challenge.

In fact, it is close to the maximum size our artisans can weave by hand.

Only a small number of our skilled craftspeople can make the 3L size, and each pair takes nearly twice as long to complete compared with our Medium size.

For this reason, we currently offer the 3L size in four selected designs.
