MERI Is About to Begin a New Chapter

MERIKOTI closed its doors on February 15, 2026.
After packing everything together, we officially completed the closure on February 28.

To everyone who visited us over the years—thank you.
We had the pleasure of welcoming people from many different countries, and we are truly grateful.

And now, a new beginning.

Next week, our new store will open under the brand name MERI.

The new location is just three doors closer to Ryogoku from our previous shop—slightly nearer to the station. Renovation is nearly complete, and we have already started moving in our products. We’ve also begun holding workshops inside the new space.

As we are still adjusting our operations, the shop is currently open on a trial basis in preparation for the official opening.

Our grand opening is scheduled for March 26th at 10:00 AM.
We would love for you to visit the renewed MERI.

At the same time, the Edo-Tokyo Museum will reopen on March 31, and the cherry blossoms will be in full bloom. It’s a beautiful season when the Ryogoku area becomes especially vibrant.

MERI is located right between the Edo-Tokyo Museum and the Sumida Hokusai Museum—
a place where Edo culture meets the craftsmanship of Sumida.

We hope you will come, experience this unique neighborhood, and try on MERI—handcrafted by skilled artisans.

We look forward to welcoming you.
